Medianet Demonstrations

Overview

A MEDIANET on-line demonstration provides you with the hands-on experience of MEDIANET's flexibility and effectiveness. The demonstration is tailored according to the needs and areas of your organization.

Call us to schedule a date and time that is convenient for your group. Normally the demonstration (including questions and answers) takes 1 1/2 hours. If you anticipate a lot of questions, allow two hours. We can, of course, tailor demonstrations to specific audiences and available time.

The demo is broken into the following components:

• A MEDIANET PowerPoint presentation
• An actual on-line interactive demonstration of MEDIANET
• The MEDIANET Web Catalog for patron access
• Optional demonstration of booking by touchtone phone (tell us if you want to hear this as it has to be configured)

You try our Medianet Web Public Access Catalog modules anytime, by going to http://www.medianet.ns.ca and clicking on Medianet Web Patron modules.

The approach used for the actual demonstration is:

• You connect to Dymaxion in two ways - both by Internet and by phone. This allows us to simultaneously demonstrate the features of MEDIANET, answer questions and respond to specific requests.
  Note: if your PC uses a screen saver, we recommend that you turn it off prior to the demonstration.
  
• If there is more than one person in your group, you'll need:
  • a speaker phone so your group can hear the presentation and the answers to the various questions asked. If a speaker phone cannot be arranged in time, it is preferable to reschedule the demo until one can be organized.
  • an LCD projector so your group can see the presentation.
